viva la vinyl!

nice little shipment of LPs came in this week and they all look fantastic...

tried to get some good pictures that captured the awesomeness of this one. i'm such a sucker for top-notch packaging and this certainly delivers

next up is one of the best albums to come out in the last few years. i've wanted this on vinyl for a very long time... also one of my favorite album covers ever!

mike herrera of mxpx fame's new band, tumbledown... i've just recently discovered them, this was kinda an impulse purchase (sometimes those are the best). not too bad on the first couple of listens. the music is kind of an americana / alt country / rock mix.

and finally we have the new album from comeback kid. first hardcore purchase in a while. really really good. wish i had picked the other vinyl color though (dark blue). the album art is awesome.

tales from the fringe #5 (the adventures of gene the cow! best cover of the week by far... so awesome!)

x-men vs. vampires #2 (a collection of short stories about, yep you guessed it, the x-men and vampires)

hellboy / beasts of burden one shot (runner-up for cover of the week)
i'm not familiar with the beasts of burden detective team but how could a team-up comic with dogs, a cat, and hellboy possibly be bad???

dc comics presents batman - a 100-page spectacular (the cover totally sold me on this one)

and in an attempt to bring back a beloved piece of my childhood, i grabbed the new on-going series for darkwing duck. let's get dangerous! got #4 and #5 today, and the back-issues are on the way...
