detective comics #880 - COVER OF THE FREAKIN' WEEK! the amazing JOCK is hands down my favorite comic artist right now, and maybe ever. covers, interiors, it doesn't matter, it's all excellent. this is his second to last batman issue. i'm gonna miss him so much.

batman: the dark knight #4 - the art is great. the story is not...

flashpoint: project superman #2

the mighty thor #4 - great cover. this is one of my favorite series out right now. everything about it is good.

fear itself: FF (one-shot) - another awesome cover. the thing has gone berserk!

x-men: schism #2

uncanny x-force #12 - glad to see an issue of x-force back in my stack. it's been much too long since the last one.

amazing spider-man #666 - spider-island begins! the premise for this event sounds silly but i'm hoping for the best. an issue of spider-man hasn't let me down in a very long time, so i'm hoping that trend continues.

wolverine and deadpool - the decoy

the vault #1 - finishing things off with another great cover. i've been very excited for this book.

detective comics continues it's dominance. fear spidey #3 was a nice conclusion to a great mini-series. starborn was a lot of fun with great art as always. schism got off to a good start. red wing was a little confusing, but really cool nonetheless. wolvie, deadpool, and dark knight were junk. the art was good in all of them, but art can only make up for so much...

gates of gotham #3 - COVER OF THE WEEK! i think this cover is my favorite of the series so far. loving this min-series so much. scott snyder (writer) can do no wrong.

flashpoint: project superman #1 - another one from scott snyder. this one came out a couple of weeks ago but sold out pretty quick so i'm just now getting a chance to check it out.

stuck in a moment...

last night during the late show with david letterman i witnessed one of my favorite TV moments ever. bono and the edge delivered an absolutely captivating performance of "stuck in a moment" right there on dave's couch. amazing. beautiful. brilliant. i had the biggest smile on my face while watching this...

flashpoint batman #2 is one of the best comics i've ever read. wow. red skull incarnate was a very disturbing book but still very high in quality. chew delivered as always and the fear itself version of x-force was just as good as the regular series.

this week i brought home another excellent stack of books...

red wing #1 - COVER OF THE WEEK! simplicity wins it this week. i absolutely love this cover. one of my favorites of the year.

hellboy: the fury #2 - a very close second for the cover of the week. mike mignola is always at the top of the list.

x-men: schism #1 - it's finally here. can't wait to see how this mega x-event plays out.

wolverine #12 - this cover was a surprise as it wasn't the one that had been previewed the last few weeks. but jae lee works his magic again. very nice.

fear itself: spider-man #3 - this has been the best series that the fear itself event has produced.

amazing spider-man #665 - last issue before spider-island begins.
