here's how last week's books stacked up...
1 - uncanny x-force #14
2 - the mighty thor #5
3 - amazing spider-man #668 (spider-island part two)
4 - the vault #2
5 - justice league #1
6 - flashpoint #5
7 - gambit - from the marvel vault
8 - haunt #17
uncanny x-force reigns supreme. no competition. even the very excellent mighty thor #5 was no match. spider-island continues to be a very fun and entertaing read. the vault was a lot of fun as well. justice league got off to a decent start. the last few pages of flashpoint were outstanding but the book as a whole was just ok. haunt was a tad disappointing.
the first week of september brings a nice little stack of books...
red skull incarnate #3 - COVER OF THE WEEK! three issues, three COTW.
wolverine #15 - logan returns to the canadian wilderness.
x-men #17 - a unique cover from the point of view of a dinosaur's mouth. pretty sure that's never been done before.
and the first full week of the new DC 52 begins...
detective comics #1 - a very creepy cover.
swamp thing #1 - scott snyder makes this book required reading.
green arrow #1
action comics #1 - i think this cover is dumb. superman looks stupid wearing a t-shirt with jeans and a cape. either go jeans and a t-shirt or go full costume with the tights and a cape. this crossover just looks silly.
but hey it's just a cover.
